The Cuthy Cup is a ski race in honor of Al Cuthrell, the past ski team coach at Andover High School (Bloomfield Hills School District) and Michigan’s longest-serving high school ski coach. The mission of this event is to promote the sport of ski racing as Coach Cuthrell did for many years, particularly to the middle school skier. The race began back in 2003 and we hope that it will continue to grow in the coming years. In 2023 we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary of this spectacular event.

This is a pay to participate event, and is open to any 5th-8th grade ski racer who would like to participate.

This event is held after the division races every year. The top 3 teams (both boys and girls) from each division are invited to race. We also invite some individuals who place in the top of their division but not on a qualifying team.

This event is held the last Friday of January and is exclusively for JV racers. Each JV racer participates in 2 runs of GS and 2 runs of Super G.

Medals are given to the top 10 boys and girls in GS and top 5 boys and girls in Super G, as well as trophies to the top JV boys and girls teams.
